Craftsman 283.1850 air compressor

Recently I picked up a nice and clean SEARS CRAFTSMAN 283.1850 air compressor. There was no documentation and I have been unable to find any on the Internet.

Does anyone know where I fill the 20-weight oil and where I drain its old oil? There are 3 key spots that have me curious and I have denoted them on the photo. In spot "C" there is a wire stick that is wrapped in some sort of fiber material and is removable. Is this an air intake filter?

Is location "A" the filler port and "B" the drain?

The boiler plate makes reference to a "red" cap and a "green" cap but mine are all silver or grey so that is of no help.

There are no ports or plugs on the other 3 sides.

I'm grateful to this site for its help.

I think maybe you're gonna have to get the shroud off.

Looks like the part farther from the motor may actually be separable, or at least a cover that comes off. (I'm thinking it may have a small tank for portable use.)
