Jun Air OF301-4B air compressor

Hello,

I recently had to replace the pressure switch on my jun-air OF301-4B compressor. Now when it cuts out it doesn't stay off for very long before it comes back on. It appears that the unloader valve lets all the air out of the tank in about a second and the compressor begins again.
Any thoughts?
Best regards, Ken Swauger

Found the problem...
by: Ken

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestions. I tested the check valve by building a small amount of pressure and with the unloader valve away from the pressure switch I unpowered the compressor. Then pushing the unloader valve pin I found that the tank would empty. This indicates a faulty check valve and have one on order.
Thanks much, Ken

leak?

Or maybe a leak between the tank check valve and the unloader...

Jun-air OF301-4B compressor short cycling

Off hand, if your unloader valve is opening and closing as it should, then I would be checking the tank check valve as your compressor symptoms suggest a tank check valve leaking, Ken.

Cheers,

Bill
