getting oil in my Kaeser compressor air tank is normal?

by Kevin
(Gainesville, florida)

I have drained over a quart of oil from my kaeser compressor in the last year or less. Is this a critical leak or normal??

I'm not sure this is a leak, Kevin.

I would surmise that the answer would depend on the amount the compressor has run over that time period, and how functional are the oil-stripping elements in your compressor. In other words, is it being serviced according to the manual?

Anyone with a Kaeser air compressor having this issue, or know if what Kevin is seeing is normal?

Thanks,

Bill

Normal?
by: Carls421

No this is not normal, what Kaesar compressor do you have? Piston or screw machine?

I canr say about a piston machine but if its a screw, then you have a separator issue, the oil is getting through your air/oil separator and needs to be replaced, you get these in a service kit.
But as I say, i couldnt tell you any further unless I know what machine you have

Thanks

Carl

Condenser fan on the Kaeser AS20

Should the fan on the Kaeser AS20 always turn or just when it needs to cool the condenser off?

AS20 fan
by: Doug in s.d.ca

Is there a clutch on it? Look like this model does not use a separate fan motor, so I'd guess it runs all the time.

You can get a manual per instructions on their website.

kaeser hpc ms6 mini - desperately need a manual

by steve
(uk)

i desperately need a manual for a kaeser hpc ms6 mini its an old compressor with non digital display .

I have sucsesfully converted it from 3 phase to single phase by fitting a 4hp 240v motor .

I have worked out the temperature cut off and the runtime clock but there are two more electrical components both 240v .

One is a pressure switch made by suco with 4 wires the other is a Solenoid with 3 wires made by burkert .

I have ran the compressor successfully but it ran hot i think the Solenoid opens oil flow to the pump from the separator tank

I cannot find a manual or wiring diagram anywhere on the internet

hope you can help

Is your compressor an SX6 rather than an MS6?

Also, Is the controller a little black box with 4 lights on it?

I have lots of manuals that i may be able to help you with, but could you clarify the Model number? A serial no would also help too

Carl
