gas powered air compressor won't idle down

by CAS

After the compressor builds pressure the gas motor is shut off by the govenor.

CAS, call it the governor, call it the throttle valve, when the pressure in the gas motor driven compressor tank reaches cut out level, it's supposed to signal the governor / throttle valve to slow the motor down until the tank pressure drops to cut in.

This valve requires a motor mechanic to help you with it. I know nothing about them... heck most days, I don't know much about anything.

However, your question is posted in the hope that someone that does know about these things, can help.

Cheers,

Bill
