Gas compressor unloader valve problems

The unloader valve is not functioning properly on a gas powered air compressor. Does anyone knows how to fix this? This is a small engine.

Sorry for the delay.

Finding info on this ain't easy. But, near as I can tell the "official" fix is to replace the unloader assembly.

That seems overkill, but being I can't even find the part (by number) you may be doomed to trying to repair it.

If you've found (or find) a fix, we'd appreciate hearing about it.

Maybe (mal) adjusting the engine idle could overcome it, though.

It is a 2008 ingersoll rand with a 13 horsepower kohler gas powered engine. I don't know it builts to much pressure. When it's idle down it stops. The engine runs fine when you relieve some of the air when you drain.
