Gages set for 125 psi, but only delivers 50 psi through the hose.

Charge Air Pro by DeVilbiss. 5hp 20gal twin cylinder, 125 psi max and 120 volt.

Both the tank pressure gauge and the outlet pressure gauge are set to max 125 psi. Both gauges say 125 psi and the compressor kicks off when the tank pressure gauge says 125. However the true outlet pressure only gets to 50 psi. I have tried different setting combinations and rebuilding pressure from different pressurized start points, and even tapping the outlet gauge to free it up. Is the outlet gauge dirty or defective? It looks fine. This compressor has been well treated. Thanks.

Charge Air Pro only delivers 50 psi through the hose.

I would suspect that the regulator is failing and / or there is a mismatch between the discharge coupler and the connector on the hose.
