F15DKL air compressor won't reach the cut-out point

I have a Kobalt 5.5, 1hp model F15DKL air compressor that is suppose to cut-out at 135 psi but stops filling at 80 psi and I am not sure why.

I have never had this issue before and it just started doing this recently.

Motor stops at 80 PSI
by: Bill

If the motor stops at 80 PSI, you need to use a meter to determine if power is still flowing to the motor from the pressure switch.

If so, then it's a motor issue.

If, on the other hand, the power is not flowing to the motor circuit when the compressor stops at 80 PSI, that points to the pressure switch as being the problem, and it likely needs replacement.

F15DKL no pressure

Did you get a chance to review this page: http://www.about-air-compressors.com/compressor-will-not-build-pressure.html ?

Is the compressor motor stopping at 80 PSI, or is it still running and the air build stops at 80 PSI?
