Emglo am78hc4v only builds up to 90 to 95psi

The compressor builds up to 90 to 95psi and does not build any more than that and does not shut off.

There is a lot of hot air coming out of the orifice under the elbow that connects the copper pipe from pump head to the lower tank. Is this normal?

Does it have to do with auto shut off switch mechanism or the whole switch box?

Best regards,

Stephen, when you say "There is a lot of hot air coming out of the orifice under the elbow that connects the copper pipe from pump head to the lower tank", no, this is not a normal situation as far as I'm concerned, and may be the source of the problem with your Emglo not getting past 90-95 PSI.

I don't have your compressor in front of me, however, so I cannot see the elbow you refer to.

Please start a new thread in the Emglo section with up to 4 photos of your compressor, with a couple of those photos closer images of the elbow you refer to.

Refer to this subject line in your new post "Emglo am78hc4v only builds up to 90 to 95psi" so that I can put them all together.

You may also want to see the troubleshooting page about why air compressors run but don't build pressure.
