EC2510 Hitachi 5.5 HP 8 gallon new unit quits running frequently

The engine quits running intermittently. May run for an hour, maybe two. Then just stops. Oil is full, unit is level, pump oil is at perfect level. Gas is fresh.

Can not find the problem, please help.

Hey Mark. I understand and share your frustration when these compressors don't work properly.

What you haven't said is what pressure level the compressor tank is at when the motor stops? Is it at cut out pressure, at cut in pressure, somewhere in between?

When the motor stops, what is the process? It just stops, does it unload...?

It's hard to even guess what the problem might be without more info.

The compressor is running at idle and somewhere between cut in and out pressure. It cuts out at 150 psi. The unit does not stall when it is running at full speed and rebuilding pressure. It does not sound like it is struggling for gas. It does not feel hot. The compressor will restart easily.
