Eagle River compressor wont start

When I turn the compressor on it will hum for about 5 seconds, after that it will trip the reset. I wait about 10 seconds or so then press the reset and turn it on, it will hum for about 5 seconds then trip the reset again.

Hi Chris. Unplug it, open the drain valve at the bottom of the tank, and drain out all the air. Close the drain valve. Plug it back it. What happens?

If it now starts, look to your unloader valve. Read the page on this to better understand what it does and how it works.

If it still doesn't start, has anything changed in the power supply? Are you now using an extension cord, or, are there other electricity drawing appliances now pulling power from the same circuit. If so, stop them all, and then see if your compressor will start.

If this doesn't do it, add a comment to this thread saying so, and we'll press on.
