don't know, there's no markings ... what Kit do I order and from where?

I was given an Air Compressor belonging to my Father-in-law for over 50yrs, worked fine until a few months; would start fine, yet after a while would slow to near stop.

It was thought that the problem was a worn out electric motor, I've checked it and apparantly the 1HP motor seems to be working fine, yet the pump spits air through intake and the outflow tube gets very hot at only 20-30lbs pressure in the tank (about 30gal size); it's the pump that becomes difficult to turn, yet after a moment of Off Time and air releases from the Intake, it turns over easily.

What is also odd to me, it that the motor runs Counter-clock, but that's also the indication by an arrow on the pump flywheel; I thought that's motors only ran Clockwise. There's no indication of pump model anywhere, so if I wish to overhaul this pump, what Kit do I order and from where?

Delighted to post your comment, German. I hope that someone recognizes your compressor, though I don't hold out much hope for finding a repair kit for it.

Certainly, it seems as though your intake valve is failing, and I would suspect that, too, the high pressure valve is as well.

You might remove, clean, and re-install the tank check valve, as that might be an issue too.

Cheers, and thanks for posting the photo,

Bill
