DESIGN INEXPENSIVE AIR REMOVAL SYSTEM FOR PORTABLE AIR COMPRESSOR. TOOLS AVAILIBLE; TIG WELDER ,PLASMA CUTTER , COMPLETE WOOD WORKING SHOP PRETTY MUCH ANY TOOL, I WAS THINKING OF TURNING A SMALL FREEZER WITH SOME AIR FILTERS IN SIDE INTO AN AIR DRYER. IT COULD WORK.
Bill says....Hi Nick.
If the air from the compressor is flowing through and blowing into an air temperature that's higher than the air temperature, unless you've not drained your tank and don't have a general purpose air filter in the line, you shouldn't have a problem with water condensing in the lines or on your workpiece.
Having said that, the best thing you can do is visit
theses pages about compressed air water issues and you'll find pretty much everything you need to know about why there's water in the compressed air, through to the types of air dryers, including refrigerant.
Cheers,
Bill
