Direction of the pump

I bought Speedaire compressor model # 4ME98 with compressor model # DP500002av. I need to know which direction is the pump turns. I am buying a new motor single phase to replace three phase motor.

Paul, you need to get the "official" word from Grainger as to their recommendation, though, as I think about your question, I wonder what difference does the pump shaft rotation make?

The pump has a piston that moves up and down as the crank turns. Presumably the crank can turn in either direction, and the piston doesn't care. It still goes up and down pulling in air and driving it down into the tank.

I am curious to what the "official" word is. Maybe you can post here as a comment after you hear from Grainger?
