Howdy Kaupo.

Did you change the location? Have you got clean power to your compressor? Anything else about the situation that is new?

If not, then I'm thinking you may have a run capacitor or motor issue, based on the info provided.

Cheers,

Bill

silmilar problem on same type of compressor
by: Anonymous

Except that mine does not even begin to built pressure when the breaker kicks out, there is the rare occasion where it actually fully charges but at that point it kicks out. You mentioned something about location, what will that have to do with it? The reason I ask is because my problem started when I tried to use my compressor outside my garage.
_______________
I ask about location as quite often folks try to run an air compressor with a too small extension cord, this starves the motor of power, it tries to go anyway, and pops a breaker.

In my opinion (humble as it is!) if you must use an extension cord, make it 25' long at most, and at least a 12 gauge wire.

Dewalt Emglo ... runs slow and kicks the breaker on the motor

by Bruce
(Irondale, Al, USA)

This is a dual tank compressor. Has not been used very much and not for several years. It starts and runs very slow. I can drain the tank and it will run at normal speed till it reaches the pressure stop. Then it will kick back on when pressure drops but it runs slow and kicks the breaker on the motor.

Any ideas?

Bruce, if the compressor starts and runs fine from zero PSI in the tank, runs fine up to normal pressure cut out, pressure drops to normal cut in from using some air, and then the compressor stalls and blows breaker on start-up with pressure in the tank, it is most often an issue with the UNLOADER VALVE.

Good luck, and keep us posted, K?

Cheers,

Bill
