Regulator on my dewalt d55146 is stuck
by: Bill

It's two separate issues, I'm afraid, Damien.

Even if the regulator is totally pooched, the compressor should pump the tank pressure up to the normal cut out.

That you are not building air in the tank needs to be addressed before the regulator issue, I suspect.

See the troubleshooting pages for some help on that.

Dewalt D55146 doesn't seem to allow air past regulator

by Ian

Dewalt D55146 builds pressure, but doesn't seem to allow air past regulator

This is about a year old, only used a few times. I just plugged it in and it turned on and built pressure accordingly, but only the tank pressure. There is no air pressure at the regulator, and you can crank the pressure adjuster switch with no resistance from pressure. Is the regulator somehow bad on a nearly new unit? Am I missing something?

Regulator?
by: Doug in s.d.ca

Looks like these things suffer poor QC. See the reviews on the DeWalt website reviews.

You're right, it shouldn't conk out so fast, but others have had problems too.

You may want to retrofit a different regulator on there, although it may not look as nice...
