Dewalt 55140 cuts off and on at 120 PSI

Dewalt 55140 type 1 Cuts off at 120 and on as soon as psi drops below 120.

My 55140 cuts out at 120 psi and on as soon as psi drops below that. For awhile it would hesitate to cut out and cycle on off on off. Now it shuts off like normal but at 120 psi . Is this pressure switch? Thanks, CB

I agree. You might want to try adjusting the pressure switch before replacing it.

Not all can be adjusted but many can.

If the cut out is normally 120 PSI, the cut in should be, around 90 PSI or so.

If the motor is cutting back on as the pressure just drops below the normal 120 PSI cut out, yup, I'd be replacing the pressure switch.
