I HAVE A IR LL5 COMPRESSOR THAT IS SHAKING WHILE IT RUNS IT SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHILE ITS UNLOADED. WE SENT THE MOTOR OUT AND HAD IT REWOUND AND BALANCED BUT THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. I ALSO REPLACED TWO OF THE SPRING ISOLATON MOUNTS, AND FOUND ONE LOOSE MOUNTING BOLT TO THE BASE FRAME. WE STARTED IT UP AND IT SEEMED FINE THE SHAKING HAD STOPPED, BUT ABOUNT 5 MINUTES LATER WE HEARD A SOUND NOT SURE WHAT IT REALLY SOUNDED LIKE ALMOST LIKE AIR ESCAPING FROM SOMEWEAR THEN THE COMPRESSOR STARTED TO SHAKE AGAIN.WE REPLACED THE UNLOADER SOLENOID THAT DIDN'T HELP. LOOKED AT THE CRANKSHAFT BEARINGS, CROSSHEADS EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD. INTERCOOLER PRESSURE IS WITHIN SPEC. COMPRESSOR RUNS FINE OTHER THEN THE SHAKING. WE NEVER SEEN THIS IN THE 20 PLUS YEARS ITS BEEN IN SERVICE. ANY IDEAS.
I-R rotary screw compressor SSR-EP25SE not building pressure past 80psi
Here at my plant our secondary compressor, Ingersoll rand SSR-EP25SE, runs but does not build pressure beyond 80 psi. The load solenoid was bad and was replaced but it only brought the pressure up from 60-65psi to where it is now at 80psi. Any ideas about what the culprit could be?
