Craftsman regulator stays same as tank pressure.

Stock craftsman regulator stays same as tank pressure. When I turn it down it leaks from behind the adjusting knob and tank loses equal pressure.

Regulator has been in use for some time

Thanks for the comeback. Failing spring or pierced diaphragm would be my guess. You can sometimes find parts for these regulators, yet since a new one is typically under $15, might be easiest just to replace it.

If you do, make sure the arrow on the body of the regulator points to the discharge coupler after it's installed.

Regulator pressure dropping

You say it's a stock regulator. Does this mean it's a new one that you've just installed, or one that's been working fine, but now, all of a sudden, this problem occurs?
