Craftsman gas compressor ... won't throttle down

when the pop off valve goes then it shuts off the engine. It won't go to idle.

Then there is no way on earth I can start again unless I take all the lines off from the pop off.

I've rebuilt the engine and it statrs on the first pull.

But after it gets it's air it will not start, even with ether.

Is it fixable or do I need new parts? I'm new at this, the engine was easy but the pop off systems seems to be whipping me...HELP!

The unloader is supposed to allow the engine to throttle down to idle until there is greater demand for air.

It sounds like you either have an unloader that isn't working properly, or the throttle linkage/valve isn't doing it's job.

Cheers,

Bill
