Craftsman 2hp 6 gal pancake stops at 100lbs instead of 150

it stops at 100 lbs like it was set there. tried adjusting set screw in black box but it makes no sense to lose 50lbs all of a sudden . help!

If your compressor stops consistently at 100 PSI where it used to stop at 150, and it restarts properly when you drain the pressure below the cut in pressure level, then I think your pressure switch is failing.

Certainly, it's failed on the high pressure cut out level, stopping your compressor by switching off the power at 100 PSI instead of the 150 PSI that it used to.

Change out your switch. I believe that will solve your problem.
