Converting a single cylinder compressor into a twin cylinder unit.

I just picked up a 33 gallon five horse Craftsman compressor, and am a bit impatient. Can I change the pump itself into a twin cylinder style and run it off of my 5hp electric motor? Hey Mike.

You can do anything to your compressor that you have the skills and the patience to do.

I can't see the conversion being easy, yet all the compressor system is, is a motor, air pump, tank and controls and you can mix and match to your heart's content, as long as you don't oversize or under size the components.
