Converting 2 HP compressor to the two lines one for pressure one for unloader

Speedaire model 2WGX6 air compressor pump has one out let port for the pressure line only. I need a conversion kit to convert the head to accept the small copper unloader line.

I don't know the model so I cannot be specific.

That you don't have a line to the unloader valve is odd.

In any case, if you insert a Tee in the line before the tank check valve, that should do it.

Take the line from the Tee over to the unloader.

Unloader line

You can also get a replacement check valve for the tank that has an outlet, usually 1/8 in. pipe thread, built in to it that you can connect to the unloader circuit.
Just a thought.

Speedaire model 4GB42 portable air compressor - stalls on overheat

by Ron Robert

Runs great for about an hour, then stalls and will not keep running until it cools down. it doesn't appear to be over heating? Once it cools,it will run for about another hour.
HELP!

But it sounds like it is overheating, that's why it's stalling.

You say it runs great for an hour. Hmmmm, is it supposed to run that long without it cooling down? Check out the page on duty cycle to see if that seems to be it.

What else is pulling power from the same electrical supply that might be sucking amperage? If something else is turning on, does it coincide with the compressor overheating? A draw down in current to the motor might cause overheating.

Good luck and keep us posted, will you?

Thanks,

Bill
