Convert Montgomery Ward motor from 220 to 110

by Keith strobel

Hi,

I have had my montgomery ward compressor for over 35 years and it's still pumping air.

If you could please answer this for me, on the plate for the electric motor on the under side had a chart to change 2 or 3 wires to run this on 110.

Can you tell me how to, or which wires to change?

I can't read it anymore due to its age.

Where I need this little compressor I do not have 220 even close.

Thank you,
Keith

Can you tell the manufacturer of the motor?

What's the HP rating? A regular 110 circuit might not be able to power it, anyway.
