Compressor wont build pressure--ultra basic - belt too loose

Hey thanks this is a great site and gave me the confidence to explore my compressor problem.

Anyway, thought Id let you know that I diagnosed my problem.

It is completely basic and I thought best let others know as Im no mechanic ......

Having checked all the things you advised I noticed that the belt was loose...Durrrrr!!!

Anyway, one tightening operation later I now have a working compressor....

I suppose I should wonder why the belt went slack..
