Usually under the cover on the shaft end.

Clicking sound
by: R.D.

The click sounds like it is coming from the motor. Where is the centrifugal switch on this motor located?

Can you identify the "click" source? Is it coming, perhaps from the pressure switch (would suggest that the pressure switch is tripping off, meaning it's suspect) or, if it's coming from the motor, that could point to a centrifugal switch on the motor.

Can you source the sound?

Both capacitors are good. What would be the next likely cause of the problem?

Compressor starts and stops

If the power supply to your air compressor has not changed, and this symptom is occurring now, I'd be checking the motor capacitors.

See how to do that on this site, linked from the troubleshooting page.
