Compressor will hot shut off at pressure limit

I have huskey h 150 3tp 3 gallon compressor that will not shut off at 155lb pressure. have replaced 3 pressure switches, so know it is not that that. sounds like it is not building up enough pressure to shut it off. I can run it for quite awhile and it won,t knick off the safety valve. WHATS THE PROBLEM? THANK YOU. BILL.

What is the normal cut off pressure of your compressor? If it is higher than the 155 PSI yours reaches, then the problem is not your pressure switch.

The problem is that your compressor can't get the pressure level in the tank up to the cut out pressure level, whatever that is for your compressor.

You need to take a look at these page on why a compressor won't build pressure.
