Compressor tank too hot?
Why is my tank hot? (140F)

I guess you mean that while you are using your compressor, your compressor tank gets hot? If so, it's likely because the compressing of air creates a lot of heat.
If your compressor has been running quite a while, and you happen to touch the air line from the pump to the tank, you will get a burn.
While 140 F seems hot, it may be no more than a natural byproduct of compressing air. As long as it doesn't stay hot when the compressor is not running, and it's not sitting in the sun. Then, it will be another reason, but I can't speculate as I don't have enough details about your concern.
Cheers,
Bill
