Compressor starts fine then stops

Everytime compressor starts fine when turned on, then stops after a few seconds and the built in reset button pops out. Tried pushing in the reset button, motor starts again then quits after few seconds. I did it many times and it did the same again and again same result reset button pops out.

Bills says...Jesse, something is overloading your motor to cause the reset button to trip. It could be the motor itself is failing.
Or, it might be that there is a mechanical issues that is preventing the motor from turning freely, inducing the thermal reset.
How long is a few seconds... two or three. Maybe the motor is just trying to start and can't.
Last time the compressor ran, did the unloader valve dump? Often, it's a blocked or failed unloader valve that is creating the unacceptable motor load.
Try bleeding the air in your compressor tank down to zero. Then try to start it again.
Good luck.
