Compressor shuts off early

Compressor shuts off with only 25 # pressure in the tank. I replaced the check valve and the pressure switch assembly since the pressure switch was broken.

That your compressor shut off at 25 # pressure likely had nothing to do with your check valve.

What turns the compressor motor on and off is the pressure switch.

If the pressure switch is new, and the compressor is shutting off at 25 PSI, in my opinion it is still broken, it's not adjusted properly, or it's wired incorrectly.
