11 HP honda powered passlode air compressor. Runs fine till gage hits 150 then stops

Compressor stops running when it reaches 150 PSI. Won't restart until you release air pressure from tank. If I flip open the valve on the end of the check valve it will run all day but only at 60 PSI.

Is it the whole check valve assemply with the guage on it?

Unloader

Well, on a C10065, the unloader is mounted on one of the tanks, with a line going to the throttle, and the other to the pump. If opening the valve lets it run, then it is the problem. (not to be confused with the PRV, which has ring pull)

You *might* be able to clean and adjust it, but more likely it's shot.

If it's a different model, then the same applies, but the mechanical arrangement is probably similar. Can't tell without a pic or model#, which may not be on-line.

Good luck.

Motor Stops
by: Anonymous

The motor stops and won't restart until pressure drops below 150. Will run all day as long as your using compressor tools and the gauge stays below 150. What needs adjusting or unloading?

Hhits 150 PSI then stops?

Got a model for the unit?

What stops? Just the pump? Rotating or pumping?
Or the motor?
