Compressor revs high then bogs out - too much oil?

hello all,
like an idiot i over filled my 2hp haus compressor with oil. now if it fires up at all( it keeps poping the breaker seems to be drawing a large current) it revs really high then bogs down and repeats this until it pops the breaker again. what do i do to repair this.

First, drain off the excess oil from the drain plug. Then, fire it up again to see what this has accomplished.
