Compressor motor blows fuses/not enough juice to statr the mortor undr load.. free wheeling spins ok..must be a capasitor? what do you think

rolo air compressor. had the 1.5 hp electric mortor rebuilt last year... its had little use sience then. Now it wont turn over under load remove belt and it spins(starts) ok.. i asume it a capasitor..which one the box has 6. any ideas on how to test capasitors to find the bad one..

As long as you have enough clean power to the compressor (not too many other appliances pulling from the same current supply), then it sounds plausible that it might be the capacitor.

As to how you check them... very carefully! :-) I'm not an electrician and won't advise you. However, if you Google the phrase "how to test capacitors" you will find lots of advice.
