Compressor dies after running for about 20 seconds needle acts like the switch got shut off and then restes after about 20 or so seconds

The compressor starts fine and runs for around 20 to 30 seconds and acts like someone shut the key off because the volt gauge goes to zero and resets istelf after may 30 seconds. It dies everythime for some reason.

It's a Sullair,, sully screw 150 unit. rand like a chakp for about 5 hours and won't stay running 2 days later.

Are you using a multi-meter to check current? What do you mean by the "volt gauge"?

When the compressor is running for that short time, is there pressure being added to the tank?

My first guess is that you've got a pressure switch failure, but I can't be certain (yeah, like I ever am...!) since I don't have enough info.
