My Baby

My Baby

I have a 84ish model Devilbiss single phase 5hp.
Cut in pressure @ 120psi, cut out @ 160.
I was using the air to blow out some dust for another tool. It obviously was reaching cut in time, when it did, it ran for about 30 sec.,then cut out.
The main power switch won't reset, not sure what happens when the pressure switch goes, but nothing happening.
I pulled the main fuses for switch, tried to reset the button on the right lower corner of the box, no go.
Put the fuses back in, took the cover off, pushed the bigger buttom "Sylvania stamped on it", it stayed in, but when I pushed it again, popped out and stayed out.
Any ideas.

It looks like the pressure switch to me.

What I'm seeing is a picture of your pressure switch, and what I'm hearing in your comment is symptomatic of a failed pressure switch.

The lever bottom right likely says Run, Auto, Off or some such, and should be set to run.

Cheers,

Bill
