I have very little info from your question to try to help diagnose the issue.
Unplug your compressor, open the tank drain, and bleed the air down to zero. Close the drain.
Plug the compressor in (after you've reset the breaker, obviously) and monitor what happens.
Does the breaker blow instantly? If so, I'd guess your pressure switch has a problem.
Does the motor try to start and then the breaker blows? That would point me either to the unloader valve or the start capacitor.
By bleeding the tank to zero pressure, if the compressor starts OK then, and after reaching cut out pressure, the pressure level drops to cut in, and the motor pops the breaker then, I'd check the unloader valve, for sure.
Not sure what any of these are? All are linked from the sitemap.
Cheers,
Bill
