Clarke AC2001B will not automatically restart

My Clarke AC2001B will not automatically restart/refill once air pressure drops. It must be manually restarted.

The unit comes up to pressure fine, but then makes a "click" from the black box when it tries to refill. The motor jumps and stops immediately. Once pressure is down low, I can unplug and replug it and it will refill.

anti return valve

you'll find your anti return valve needs cleaning - if it starts and stops normally but then tries to start but will not then 90% chance its the anti return - remove large nut then you'll find a spring and a rubber washer - stretch the spring or replace and clean rubber or replace

no restart

That's a bit unusual.

I think you should open the pressure switch and check the contacts. I'm pretty sure you'l find at least one burned and.or corroded.

If that's the case, you may be able to clean them up so it'll work, but probably won't last, so you might look for a heavier-duty one.

Are you in the U.S. or U.K. or? (What power supply is the point of that)

Good luck, and post back what you find, please.
