Compressor check valve

Anyone know where I can find this? Or what the technical term is for it beyond check valve? I'm out of order until I can get this figured out!! Also, when I took it out I was interrupted by my son so I'm not even sure it's put back together properly....

Thank you Brian

You are welcome. Glad that the compressor is running well.

Check valve.

Sorry I haven't been back on. Was able to find a check valve at a tractor trailer parts dealer. With some configuring of the cast iron I was able to replace the valve and my machine is running amazingly well no. No back flow, no loud clanking and running much smoother. Thanks for the insight!

Source of check valve

Brian, the logical place to start is the manufacturer's website.

What's the make and model of this compressor, please?

Thank you, any suggestions on my best option to locate one of similar if not the same design?

Bleeder check valve
by: Bill

Okay, so this allows air into the tank, when the compressor cuts out, the check keeps the air in the tank, and the small bleeder hole allows any air trapped upstream to the cylinder to vent.

This hole will typically bleed air all the time the compressor is running, but it should stop bleeding air after a few seconds when the compressor stops pumping air.

The trick will be in finding the replacement, though I expect that if you purchased a compressor tank inline check valve of the same dimensions, you might emulate the function by drilling a small hole in the check valve upstream from the actual check.

More info

Bill,

Thank you for approving and responding. This is feeding from the larger head to the tank. There is no threaded unloaded line in the side, just a pin hole which was where the initial blowback start showing. It started to fail and every once in a while I'd have to tap the valve with a ball peen and it would be ok. This week it got so. As it was blowing air back to the smaller head relief valve.

Thank you

Brian, is this one from the tank? If so, is there an unloader line port on the side of it?

A bit more info, if you please.
