Bostitch MIIIFN floor nailer

Bostitch MIIIFN floor nailer

Hello Bill, I just purchased a brand new Bostitch MIIIFN floor nailer, does not come with a fitting but the manual says 3/8 NPT.

I just have a little 6 gallon porter cable compressor (150 psi, 2.6 scfm @ 90 psi) it just came with a 1/4" hose.

What is my best solution?

Can I just upgrade to a 3/8" hose with 1/4" on one end (compressor) and 3/8" on the other (nailer)? Thank you for your time

Update?

I'm in the same situation with the same nailer. Did the bushing work and did it function ok? Thanks in advance.

The spec sez this uses 4.2 CFM at 1 shot per second, so you can't get full speed with your compressor for more than a couple minutes.

However, that's pretty fast, so I would TRY a regular 1/4 fitting with a 3/8 to 1/4 bushing and your existing other stuff.

That'll tell you if you really need a bigger hose and/or couplings for your application.
