Compressor blowing oil

Some things to look at, Kim.

One, is the vent hole in the oil fill cap plugged? If so, eventually the cap will blow off and oil will likely spray out.

Did you recently change the compressor oil? If so, was it overfilled?

The oil fill cap has a vent to allow air that always migrates past the piston seals and into the oil sump to escape. If you are getting an inordinate amount of air into the sump, that indicates that your piston seals are leaking quite a bit, and it's probably time to replace them and check the cylinder wall for scores.
