capacity on quincy qi 1000

why all of a sudden is our compressor modulating when it always ran at 100% for years?

Michael, you know what you mean by "modulating", I think I know, but I'm not 100% sure, so before I tackle an answer, what does modulating mean to you in terms of your air compressor operation?
