Cap2000p-of has new pressure switch, still won't shut off

Cap2000p-of.. Have had it for a few years and recently it started to not shut off at the desired psi(150). Figured it'd be an easy order the pressure switch and put it on project(also replaced the power switch, worked but was cracked).. Get it hooked back up and it's still doing the same thing. Builds air until the prv opens to relieve the pressure.. Any thing I'm missing?

Pressure switch issue

Same issue. Builds pressure to 160 pig and blows the relief. I replaced the pressure switch tonight and it does the same thing.

Pressure switch AB-9415626 for CAP 2000 P-O
by: Bill

Do you know what the settings are for the new switch.

Dan, you need to use a multi meter to check the motor side of the switch when the pressure in the tank moves past the cut out setting of this switch.

With your probe on the motor side of the pressure switch, the power should be cut when the switch reaches the cut out setting.

If the switch doesn't react to the pressure build, the pressure switch is still the likely culprit.

If the power shuts off, the compressor motor should. If it doesn't, the switch may be wired wrong.
