Cant get oil to show in site glass why running

Oil has been added all the way to the bottom of the threads. once compressor starts loading it drops below the site class there for it would be showing its low on oil. But i cant add anymore because it would overflow. it has a separator filter and a compressor filter on top side.

Bob, on my compressor, I fill the oil to the center of the sight glass dot, as per the specs in the manual.

When the compressor is running, oil from the sump is splashing up and lubricating parts, and that drops the oil level in the site glass.

It seems to me that if the oil level is correct when the compressor is not running, that it would, too, be correct when the compressor is running.

It sounds to me like you are over-filling yours. What does your spec say?
