Can't get it to build air

by Greg Rosato
(Paris,Texas )

Broke a rod so replaced piston and cylinder, wouldn't build over 60 psi.

Replaced rusted check valve, reeds and gaskets.
Still can't get over 60 psi.
Any ideas?

Changed all head gaskets and piston and cylinder still won't build over 60#.It has no leak it holds the 60# overnight.

Same advice as below to Greg...

Sorry you're having trouble. Good luck.

Can't get WL611200AJ to build air

This is a fairly classic gasket failure scenario.

I presume you changed gaskets with all the other stuff?

That would mean one of three or four things -

The piston/sleeve don't match each other or the pump.

A bad or wrong gasket or installed upside down.

A cracked head.

Low torque on the head bolts.

If all else fails, (and there are no external leaks, right?) then maybe try some liquid gasket material from the local auto parts store.

Good luck, and let us know what you find, please.

It worked fine before the rod broke.
It's model number is WL611200AJ and pump number WL371500A

What model?

It was working OK before the rod broke?
