Cake air brushing compressor doesn't stay on

I have a compressor for cake decorating and when I turn it on it starts for a second and then shuts off. Help! :-) Thanks!

It would be good to know the make and model so that I can have a look at it on line (if I can find it) to try to help you figure this compressor issue out.

Please most more information as a comment here, and also if you are doing anything different in use or power supply from when it worked properly.

Thanks for getting back to me so promptly! Here's the model: Airbrush-Depot Brand Model TC-20 Maintenance Free Air Compressor
When I first tried it, it would go on for a second and shut off. It does this every time. Could it be the pressure isn't set right? Beats me! :-)
Try this. Unplug the compressor. Pull on the PRV (pressure relief valve) that is on the side of the tank. There is a ring on the end of this valve. Ensure that all air in the tank is gone.

Push on the valve stem (the part with the ring) to ensure that it is fully closed.

Plug in the compressor. What happens?
