Burnt rubber smell and smoke coming from between the engine and compressor on a xas96

Have a xas96 . Burnt rubber smell and smoke coming from between the engine and compressor

Was running fine then all of the sudden no more air and the engine was running at a higher rpm as if no air pressure to kick down the idle. I shut down the compressor and smoke was coming out of the inspection hole on the top of the bell housings and smelt like burnt rubber

failed coupling

Between the engine and the air end there is a rubber coupling

It has torn/failed

Unbolt the air-end from the engine and you will see it
