building air pressure

I have a Tool Shop 2HP 4 Gal Pancake compressor and I only can get it to go 55 psi It never shuts off it just does not get above 55psi. How do I get it higher?

Hey Paul.

What you need to do is go to the Troubleshooting page, click on "won't build pressure" and have a read of the info there.

There are a number of reasons why an air compressor won't build pressure past a certain point. The link from that page lists them.
