by Benito

a 10 gal brute compressor will turn on but will not build any pressure in the air tank. I noticed that it is pumping air out of the air filter. Please help

Hello Benito. If your air compressor is running, not building pressure in the tank, and air is blowing out of the intake port (in which there is usually an intake air filter) then it is likely that at least part of the problem is the intake valve that is not sealing.
Air then is pulled in and blown right back out as the compressor piston cycles.
Get the valve cleaned or replaced, and then let us know if the problem is resolved, OK?
Cheers,
Bill
