brute 15 gl. air comp. - Crank spins freely on motor drive shaftshaft

Picked up a used brute 15 gl. air comp. Worked grate the five times i used it once for a nailer and 4xs for tires. Fifth time the motor kicked on but no air build up. i could tell the piston wasn't moving. pulled the head off with the piston. I rotated the motor shaft by hand and was able to keep the crank still with 1 finger while turning the drive shaft with my other hand. I don't see a set screw or key to keep the crank from spinning.
