Well, you don't waste words, do you? :-)

If the switch is broken, then obviously it needs replacing. However, since I have no idea what your compressor is, than I really can't make any suggestions as to where to find your switch.

I assume that your compressor doesn't run, and therefore, unless there is visible damage to the switch to tell you that the switch is broken, you are assuming too that it's the switch?

A bit more information about what or what not your air compressor is doing would certainly help me help you find a solution to your compressor problem.
