both contacts in the pressure keeps burning out

My pressure switch contacts keep burning out and my electrician keeps replacing it .

What is causing that to happen?

It could be because your motor is pulling too much power to start or run indicating a possible capacitor or motor failing.

It also could be that you are under powering the compressor motor with a supply circuit that is pulling too much power for other appliances, and not leaving enough for the air compressor. Under powering can also occur by using an extension cord that is too small a gauge to supply enough power.
